Liebe Prototypler*innen, (English version below) Wie ihr vielleicht schon gelesen habt, wird am Freitag bis 14 Uhr bei der BVG gestreikt. Für einige von euch wird die Anreise zum Demo Day dadurch etwas komplizierter als geplant. Die BVG ist in Berlin für U-Bahnen, Straßenbahnen und Busse zuständig. Die S-Bahn gehört zur Deutschen Bahn und wird nicht bestreikt. Leider sind in unserem Budget keine Mittel für Taxifahrten vorgesehen. Um die Kosten so gering wie möglich zu halten, bitten wir euch daher, mit der S-Bahn bis zum nächstgelegenen Bahnhof zu fahren. Ab S-Bahnhof Warschauer Straße oder Ostbahnhof können wir die Kosten für Taxi/Uber oder Carsharing übernehmen. Bitte schickt uns bis spätestens Dienstag eine kurze Mail, ob ihr das in Anspruch nehmen wollt, damit wir die Kosten einplanen und euch das separate Formular für die Taxifahrt zuschicken können. Wenn ihr als Team anreist, koordiniert euch bitte innerhalb eures Teams: Wir übernehmen eine Taxifahrt pro Team. Ohne vorherige Absprache übernehmen wir keine Taxikosten. Falls ihr nicht mit der S-Bahn anreisen könnt (z.B. weil euer Hotel zu weit von der S-Bahn-Station entfernt ist), schickt uns bitte eine Mail (bis Dienstag). Wir werden dann gemeinsam eine Lösung finden. Wir bitten euch, bei der Planung solidarisch zu sein und die Kosten so gering wie möglich zu halten. Wenn ihr ein Hotel in der Nähe des Veranstaltungsortes habt, kommt bitte zu Fuß. Für die Rückfahrt vom Veranstaltungsort übernehmen wir keine Taxikosten - dann fährt wieder die U-Bahn. Denkt daran, dass es an diesem Tag schwierig sein wird, ein freies Taxi zu finden. Es ist wahrscheinlich eine gute Idee, im Voraus zu buchen. Auch für die Fahrt mit der S-Bahn solltet ihr genügend Zeit einplanen. Die Züge werden sehr voll sein. For some of you, this will make getting to Demo Day a little more complicated than planned. BVG is in charge of subways, tramways and buses in Berlin. The S-Bahn belongs to Deutsche Bahn and is not on strike. Unfortunately, there are no funds in our budget for cab rides. To keep the costs as low as possible, we therefore ask you to take the S-Bahn to the nearest station. From S-Bahn stations Warschauer Straße or Ostbahnhof we can cover the costs for taxi/Uber or car sharing. Liebe Prototypler*innen, *(English version below)* am Freitag ist es so weit - wir sehen uns in Berlin zum Demo Day, dem Abschluss eurer Runde! Wir freuen uns schon sehr auf eure Demos, Panels und Vorträge, und auch darauf, am Abend danach auf euch, eure Projekte und unsere 6-monatige Zusammenarbeit anzustoßen :) Hier kommen die letzten wichtigen Informationen - das meiste haben wir schon kommuniziert, aber wir bitten euch, alles sorgfältig zu lesen, damit der Tag reibungslos verläuft: - Bitte seid alle sehr pünktlich da! Der Demo Day ist die einzige öffentliche Veranstaltung des Prototype Fund, und für eure Projekte und das Förderprogramm im Allgemeinen ist es wichtig für uns, dass das Event gut läuft. - *DEMOS*: Alle Teams, die Tische für Live-Demos haben, sind bitte bereits zwischen 9.30 und und 10 Uhr vor Ort, damit die Vorbereitungen durch sind, wenn die Gäste um 10.30 Uhr ankommen. Wenn ihr ankommt, meldet euch bitte kurz beim Tisch am Eingang an, dann kommt direkt zu uns (Marie & Marie-Lena), um euren Demo-Platz zu bekommen. Auch relevant: Wenn ihr ein Poster an die Wand hängen wollt, schickt uns bitte vor Mittwoch eine Mail, damit wir sicherstellen können, dass ihr einen Platz bekommt, an dem ihr ein Poster aufhängen könnt. Wenn ihr ankommt, meldet euch bitte kurz beim Tisch am Eingang an, dann stellt ihr euch bei unserem Moderator Tobi vor. Für alle, die nicht beim Demo Day der 13. Ein Event mit Projektvorstellungen kann stressig sein, aber niemand erwartet, dass eure Projekte nach nur 6 Monaten zu 100% perfekt sind. Der Prototype Fund ist dazu da, euch bei den ersten Schritten eures Projekts zu begleiten, und der Demo Day ist nur ein kleiner Schritt, bevor ihr sie weiter verbessern könnt :) Wir haben eure Fortschritte in den letzten Monaten aufmerksam mitverfolgt und sind uns sicher, dass es sehr gut laufen wird! We're really looking forward to your demos, panels and talks, and also to raising a glass to you, your projects and our 6-month collaboration in the evening afterwards :) Here come the last important bits of information - we've already communicated most of it, but we ask you to read everything carefully to make sure the day goes smoothly: - Please all be there on time! Demo Day is the Prototype Fund's only public event, and for your projects and the funding program in general, it is important to us that the event goes well. - DEMOS: All teams that have a booth for live demos, please be there between 9.30 and 10am, so that the preparations are done when the guests arrive at 10.30am. When you arrive, please check in briefly with at the desk at the entrance, then come directly to us (Marie & Marie-Lena) to get your demo spot. Also relevant: If you want to hang a poster on the wall, please email us before Wednesday so we can make sure you get a place to hang a poster. First come, first served! - STAGE: All projects presenting in panels and talks please be there between 10 and 10.30am at the latest. When you arrive, please register briefly at the table at the entrance, then introduce yourself to our moderator Tobi. Anbei schicke ich euch meine Auswertung der Umfrageergebnisse, die Grundlage für die Evaluation der aktuellen Förderrunde sein wird. Weil wir wollen, dass der Tag euch neben viel Spaß auch den größtmöglichen Nutzen bringt, probieren wir immer, für die Projekte inhaltlich passende Gäste persönlich einzuladen. Wir haben selbst schon recherchiert und ein paar spannende Organisationen etc. angeschrieben, möchten euch aber auch direkt fragen: Gibt es Firmen, Verbände, NGOs oder Einzelpersonen, die unbedingt von eurem Projekt wissen sollten und die ihr auf dem Demo Day sehen wollt? Hier kommen ein paar Infos zum Tag sowie ein paar zusätzliche Punkte rund um die Förderung, die wir euch gerne mitteilen möchten. *Demo Day!* ANKUNFT: Die Veranstaltung startet (pünktlich!) um 11 und endet um 18 Uhr. Februar, findet eine *freiwillige Sprechstunde* statt, bei der ihr uns Last-Minute-Fragen zum Demo Day (oder zu anderen Themen) stellen könnt. Habt ihr noch Fragen, Unsicherheiten, braucht ihr noch Unterstützung oder habt einfach Lust, Hallo zu sagen? Kommt vorbei! Wann: 19. Februar bei uns meldet, muss die Kosten selbst tragen.* Bitte kümmert euch selbst um die Buchung - es steht euch natürlich frei, das Hotel zu wählen, solange der Preis unter 70 Euro/Nacht ohne Frühstück liegt (wir frühstücken ohnehin auf der Veranstaltung). Teams können auch gern Airbnbs oder ähnliche Alternativen buchen. Wir empfehlen euch, so schnell wie möglich zu buchen! Nach der Veranstaltung werden wir den Abend in einer Bar in der Nähe zusammen ausklingen lassen. Liebe Prototypler*innen, Liebe Alumnae und Alumni des Prototype Fund, *(English version below)* wir sind am 1. Februar in eine neue Bewerbungsrunde gestartet und nun zum 16. Mal auf der Suche nach tollen Freie- und Open-Source-Softwareprojekten mit gesellschaftlichem Mehrwert. Ihr kennt uns, ihr kennt das Förderprogramm aus eigener Erfahrung und bestimmt kennt ihr andere Entwickler*innen oder Kreative, die spannende Ideen in der Pipeline haben. Wir freuen uns deswegen sehr, wenn ihr unsere Ausschreibung teilt und Freund*innen, Bekannte oder Kolleg*innen in eurem Umfeld zu einer Bewerbung ermutigt.
