Nature Scientific Reports has an open call for submissions to a Special
Collection concerned with developing methods for improving
reproducibility in animal trials.

The scope of the collection includes both statistical methodology as
well as design of animal studies. In contrast to the general policy of
Scientific Reports papers on meta-research are explicitly allowed.
There is a deadline to submit papers by the end of August, but this
deadline is likely to be extended because the current number of
submissions is still not sufficient to bring out the Special Collection.
If you are interested to contribute and have any questions please
contact Florian Frommlet (florian.frommlet(a)meduniwien.ac.at) who would
also be grateful if you could disseminate this information to
potentially interested colleagues.

ich darf euch zum Berliner Bibliothekswissenschaftlichen Kolloquium (BBK) an der HU am 21.05. einladen, wo ich einen Vortrag zur #DontLeaveItToGoogle-Kampagne halten werde. Es wird dabei um die Pläne von Google, Elsevier und Co gehen, die Infrastruktur rund um die Forschenden zu monopolisieren. Zudem möchte ich aufzeigen, wie wir mit offenen Infrastrukturen und Interfaces einen Gegenentwurf aufbauen und welche Vorteile daraus für die Forschenden entstehen. Auf eine spannende Diskussion!
