Below my notes on the meeting of „Fórum Resiste Brasil” on Tuesday. beijos e abraços, Volker I was in a bit of a squeeze on Tuesday. There was the spontaneous demo against CDU on EU copyright also at 6pm and then the netzpolitischer Abend at 8pm. So I came late to the meeting in Mehringhof and had to leave early. But I could talk to Niklas. There were about 80 people. Conversation was in Portuguese. The group is called „Fórum Resiste Brasil” and has formed in December. It’s organized into eleven working groups, some of which existed before, like „Lula livre”. One is preparing a demonstration on 14 March, 15:30 - 17:30. I didn’t pick up the place, though. Also there was news that the Governor of Sao Paulo was in Berlin for the ITB, and would be speaking the following day, Wednesday, at Indudstrie und Handelskammer. Some people planned to go there and make some noise. Sorry for not letting you know in time. The last points on the agenda was Estatuto, Facebook page, website, mailing list. Since I didn’t stay to the end I didn’t get if they have these already or are preparing them. The Fórum is self-organized in a grassroots democratic way: Every meeting those are elected who will prepare and moderate the next meeting. There doesn’t seem to be a regular turnus. I didn’t stay long enough for the date of the next meeting but the agenda says: in April or May. I told Niklas at the side about our group, and our jour fixe and mailinglist and our invitation for them to join. Since I didn’t have the opportunity to present this myself in the plenary, he promised to do so. The following day I sent Niklas some info and asked for outcomes of the meeting, but he didn’t reply.
