Dear all,
thank you Edgar for setting up our mailing list!
I’ve decided that it would be easiest to mass-subscribe all who left their address. I think not even the GDPR requires a double-opt-in. If it wasn’t your intention to be on this list, I apologize and ask you to let me know and I will take you off.
Then next meeting: Cven suggested to meet at the next CryptoParty, 18 Jan, 20h, at c-base. https://www.cryptoparty.in/berlin I will be in London that night but then BRlin doesn’t depend on me.
Again, you’re welcome to join the CryptoParty. Other dates for next BRlin meeting are possible as well. As for options for a jour fixe every first xday of the month at c-base I’ll let you know asap.
The channel is opened. Contributions in Portuguese are welcome. Let’s see what we can achieve together,

Dear all,
thanks for being there. The strong and active participation showed that there is a desire for a regular exchange about Brazilian matters in Berlin.
We didn’t take proper minutes. So I’ll just follow up with some pratical notes on how to proceed. Alé send me his after-thoughts with a more systematic approach that I’ll include.
So first we need a name ,-) I thought of BeBra (Berlin – Brasil) but like Alé’s suggestion better: BRlin.

Until then, c-base circle will have discussed what would be a good day for a monthly meet-up. Sunday, as I said, is easy but there were reservations against weekend. The first Monday of the month would also be possible, and other days.
Edgar thankfully offered to set up a mailinglist at OKFN. Once it’s there, I’ll send invites to this Bcc-List to subscribe to list.
Other suggestions included a group on Signal or on Riot and an etherpad for collectively adding recources. Can anyone provide those? For now, I'm collecting links here: https://www.vgrass.de/?page_id=4395
Maybe adding resources for translations would be usefull too. E.g. the course videos from Infosec Bytes might be worth subtitling in Portuguese (easy to do in the Youtube subtitle editor). http://infosecbytes.org/
Also, Geraldine de Bastion responded saying that her Global Innovation Gathering (GIG) has many Brazilian members and they are also discussing support actions and other interventions. http://www.globalinnovationgathering.org/
So much from me, and here are Alé’s notes:
= BRlin tasks =
== team news == * contact apublica, reporterbrasil, intercept
* objective: voice and eyeballs to people on the ground ** ground requires: media equipment and skills, anonymity or investigative journalists ** remote requires: political and news contacts in Berlin and Europe
* objective: data analysis ** requires: open data, leaks, analysts
== team coordination == * objective: coordination among people on the ground * objective: coordination among remote people * objective: coordination between ground and remote

== team incoming resources == * to support people on the ground, remote work and infrastructure * donations, grants * volunteers
== team infrastructure == * information infrastructure ** requires: servers, bandwidth, hackers

== note to self == * promote Gavin's book ;D ** https://hubzilla.com.br/cloud/aleabdo/Gavin%20Adams
I can second the recommendation of Gavin Adams, Um Diário das Ruas 2015-2018. At 1.255 pages it’s not a quick answer to what has happened in Brazil but a rich archive for researching that question.
Let’s do this together.
